Yes, you may have heard the rumor. The word on the street is true. We now have paid, stable hosting. Apologies for the downtime over the last couple of months, but both the site and I have been in transition.

I moved to LA in June and we’re just now getting things together. You can expect new and varied content and a better overall web experience. We’ve been at this now since April ’07 and it’s been a learning experience. We’re 259 posts deep and 274 comments into it. What started out with 4 core authors has now expanded to a crew of 7 worldwide. We’ve got a completely customized WordPress setup and the hits just keep on coming.

So, after much hype and anticipation, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to thegreaterminds.com 2.0. Welcome to a place where intellectual thought and earnest discussion rule over meaningless posturing. Think of this site as a way station in a bleak ocean of whackness, a small outpost of sorts, in a vast and different world.

Please bear with us as we work out the kinks. You can expect even more functionality in the coming weeks. If you see something that needs addressing (design issues, broken links, constructive suggestions, etc.) leave them in the comments. Although if you don’t like the new design or the blog, you’re dead to me; this shit just doesn’t appear one day. I completely redesigned the site from scratch after many, many hours. It’s a labor of love but I detest the labor. I’m not going to shout out all the people’s work I straight jacked, hacked, or racked, but please visit the credits.

I just updated the blog software to version 2.3 and it looks like some of links to youtube posts got broken during the process. For now we’re gonna have to be light on the media since I think it was the media plugin that posted audio and video that got fucked up. That’s all I’m gonna say since I don’t feel like putting my nerd status on blast.
