Apple Juice Break Archive

From 2003 to 2007 I had a radio show in various forms on various stations. I started out at American University’s WVAU and finished last year at WMUC 88.1 FM at the University of Maryland.

The show was originally called the Beatbox at WVAU, and later on, inspired by the skit on the Chrizma and Peanut Butter Wolf album Big Shots, I changed the name to The Apple Juice Break shortly after moving to WMUC.

The following are archives of my all the shows I have available. Most of them are from the 2006-2007 time frame. WVAU didn’t have a reliable method to record on-air shows so most of them are from my time at WMUC.

The shows chronicle development in my musical tastes and knowledge, and therefore my record collection. The format was original in that I predominately played vinyl from my own personal collection; something unheard of in many college radio stations accustomed to kids plugging in their laptops or iPods and hitting play. Biggup to all the cool people I met through the years doing radio; I always respected people who were into their music and were doing some original shit, even if it wasn’t necessarily my taste.

Playlists are available for some of the shows; others are missing. Feel free to contact me through the comments or through email for any track IDs.
