This post is almost a year in the making now. I took a trip to Toronto last August and while there I came across this awesome vegan/vegetarian restaurant on Spadina Ave. called Fresh, which happened to have an even better italian restaurant right next door. I, being the devout carnivore, got the veggie burger so I could at least pretend I was eating meat. I ended up stopping by several times during my trip.

Basically weather over here in Sea-Town has been nuts. Clear skies, a light breeze, and that thing we call the sun. However, the one day that we plan a barbecue, it grays up and starts raining. We had 25 forties, a bunch of meat, and homies coming over. Thank god for covered car ports. Thanks to everyone who came out, and yes there will be a sequel. Perhaps with sangria and seafood, but probably not because that shit is expensive.

one of my favorite things about the holiday season in italy was the cake that would come out in the supermarket. the classic pandoro with powdered sugar was my favorite. the parental unit sent one over in the mail this winter. is it strange that so many of my memories center around food…
