At some point I had a lot of thoughts in my head and was going to organize them into some meaningful/culturally relevant treatise, but since this post has been sitting in the ‘drafts’ section for the last 9 months, I figured I’d just drop the links and perhaps start a conversation in the comments section.
Without further adieu, los links.
Whenever life beans you with a throw you gotta shake that off and take your base. So I roll up to Richmond & Vancouver Canada when I need space to think. In between meeting up with the homie, drinking with my cousins until damn near 6 am, getting into a car accident, lolas (grandmother) can fix everything, and saying goodbye to family that hasn’t been to North America in 15 years I forgot all about my “problems”. I always thought I knew why my dad drove us up there so much, but it hasn’t been so glaringly apparent until this weekend.
…and damn, Granville on Saturday night is nuts.
This post is almost a year in the making now. I took a trip to Toronto last August and while there I came across this awesome vegan/vegetarian restaurant on Spadina Ave. called Fresh, which happened to have an even better italian restaurant right next door. I, being the devout carnivore, got the veggie burger so I could at least pretend I was eating meat. I ended up stopping by several times during my trip.
In light of recent (becoming distant) events, I decided to make a break-up playlist. Maybe it’s a little lame, maybe it’s a little depressing, but hey, it made me laugh. *Note* These songs don’t have any connection to my previous relationship. I just like them. Enjoy.
