another way the iphone is proving itself indispensable. just downloaded run keeper, bought an arm band and now i can track my progress towards the marathon. just over two months left to go!

big weekend run last sunday. ran out of room in downtown san diego! increasing to 12 this sunday.

In my last trip up to the big city, I got word of this newly constructed elevated park, officially named The High Line. The park’s been constructed on old rail lines from the 30′s and it’s amazing how serene the park is, even though it’s amongst the metropolis. It’s beautiful.

I’m a little delayed on posting this, but there’s been an awesome exhibit at DC’s African Art Museum by Yinka Shonibare. He takes classic scenes portrayed in previous art works (literature, operas, paintings, etc.) and reconstructs them using colorful textiles, headless mannequins, or erotic positioning to show a completely different perspective. Although, no photography was allowed, I snapped a couple shots. Don’t tell anyone.

On my recent trip to O’ahu, I had this on non-stop.
