horrorcore! mwahahahah

a serious subgenre or a “short-lived trend that” created more “schlock than shock” (rolling stone). tough to decide when you have the likes of prince paul and the rza as members of one of the predominate groups in the style. decide for yourself – rest in piss, kid.

  1. Ah. Horrorcore… Those were some good picks. But you can’t forget about 3-6 Mafia. One of the original horrocore groups, at least until they had a few breakout, radio friendly hits. Diplo put out a mix on his Made Decent Radio podcast for holloween that was went through a bunch of more horrorcore themed joints from 3-6 and friends. Definitely worth checking out.

  2. Snap. Call me Count Rapula. That was such an odd but delicious time in music. Some other favs of the genre were Tech N9ne, The Insane Clown Posse, and even Big L dabbled. But with a name like Brotha Lynch Hung how can you put out hits like pussy at a frat party
