this is my japanese cell phone. it’s better than your crackberry. i could pay for my sapporo with it if i knew how.

this is why i can’t watch tv/listen to mp3s/pay for sake with my cell phone.

so, latest update. i’m taking a week long welcome to japan class. this is mostly geared toward sailors who might go out and kill a local japanese person and wives who didn’t know you could eat food with two sticks. pretty boring so far but on thursday we have the day to go on a field trip. YAY!!!! anyway, still looking for an apartment – hope to have that done by next week or so. probably going into tokyo on saturday. some JOs from the ship are going to the Guns N Roses concert in the evening but i think i’ll pass…..peace from the far east and i’m out

yo, so i touched down in the land of the rising sun like….2.32565 days ago or something. i’m in some kind of twilight zone here. shit is surreal. the amc flight f’en sucked. so cramped for 9.5 hours. waited in seatac for hmmmmmmmmm, 5 shitty hours before even boarding. then from yokota a 2.5 hour bus ride to yokosuka……..but shit, this place is awesome. 1 hour to tokyo by train. 20 min to yokohama (second largest city in japan). the junior officers on my ship (that i’ve met so far) are really cool – fuck! we went out last night TOUGH on my first night in the country. good food, lots of crazy asian booze, drunken train rides and drunken karaoke. man, can’t write strait…more later. peace in the far east
